Paper Crafts – Vintage Pieces for Collage/Altered Art – Cards – Mother’s Day 2015
Example
Instructions:
Print card graphics on white cardstock
Print envelopes on 8 1/2 x 11 white paper
Cut out pieces
I didn’t make mine 3-D but you can. Use a hot glue gun and drop a large drop of glue, let it cool for a second then, add the graphic piece. Push down just enough for it to adhere well as you don’t want to make it flat.
To assemble:
1. Fold one piece of cardstock in half, using the short side – cut into two pieces
2. Fold each piece in half and score fold.
3. Using front bottom half of each card, glue items in place.
(I used glue stick). Look at pictures for placement suggestions.
4. You can use “Through the years” tag or not.
In the two examples I used it on one, but not the other.
5. Let dry.
6 Fold in each end of envelope and score so it will be even.
7. Glue ends and let dry.
You can print these for children to make and give to mothers or grandmothers. If so, it would be great to include a picture and maybe write a few memories and thanks for her to enjoy.
Like, “thank you for letting me stay up and bake cookies”; thank you for taking me on the late night walk in the snow”; “thank you for making the beautiful gown for the King’s court” … you get the idea.
Or, run off three of each with envelopes, assemble, tie with a matching ribbon and give as a gift.
I bet you can think of lots of fun things, just jump in and have fun!
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:30-31 KJV
