… There are difficulties in life that are really hard to face … they just appear, with no warning, and it takes some doing to get things straight … yet, they reap blessings …

1 … We were moving to my husband’s new job site – which meant leaving our home and moving into a mobile one … We did not really want to but looked at it as sort of an adventure …

After arriving we could not get power … it was hot as hades, middle of summer … Ever tried to live in a tuna can parked directly under the sun?

Dh removed the fan from his VW to use as a fan in our bedroom … we assembled the three kids and thoroughly enjoyed that fan … Thus, for the next few steamy night we were blessed with flowing air …

2 … We always had an after-school program for children at our church and our home, so decided to have one there as well … Easily said, not so easy to do … the complex  manager’s  husband was a minister of another denomination and when children came to our home for bible class they were discouraged to come as, it was said, we “might not be christian” …

At first I was upset, but when kids told me this, I told them, it was good of the lady to care because she was right there were all sorts out there … Some of the children never came back … many others did.  One evening, late, while we were at a local convenience store one of the kids ran up to me and said they had told their parents what they had learned and their mom and dad wanted to know more about it … How wonderful … they became believers.

3 … Our vehicle decided to die at exactly the point where we had little money … none for purchase or repair … we did not know which way to turn, but, God did … My husband’s company loaned him an old truck to drive until we got ours fixed … Old, but very reliable.

So, all those things meant to discourage, dismay and break us, became times of blessing … Thank you, Father!
